Ian Madfes, PhD
Ian Madfes, a long-time educator, has provided a wide array of psychology classes at °µÍø½âÃÜ for more than 35 years. Teaching has always been his "night-time job" and a part-time vocation done purely for the love of it. His full-time professions have included 15 years as a mediator for the Superior Courts of California, helping divorcing couples agree to child-custody plans, and as a non-profit agency supervisor of more than a 100 mediators throughout California, helping adopting parents and birth parents develop relationships to benefit the adopted child. His other professions have been most diverse, having been a cancer researcher, general building contractor, and psychotherapist.
